About

The ePartners Program provides a framework for developing and nurturing meaningful collaborative relationships between the global business community and NC State's Department of Computer Science. Its primary focus is to foster ongoing communication and interaction between students, faculty and our corporate partners, to help shape the department?s future. Funding and support generated by the program allow our department to continue to grow in emerging areas of computer science technology while providing the highest quality education for our students. The Department of Computer Science at North Carolina State University was established in 1967. It is one of the oldest such departments in the nation. The mission of the department is to create and disseminate knowledge by constituting a scholarly community focused on research and education in the area of Computer Science. Our research in the science and technology of computing betters state and nation. Our educational programs equip our students to be competitive, to succeed in their profession, and to contribute to society. We offer the degrees of Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Master of Computer Science, Master of Science in Computer Networking, and Ph.D. in Computer Science. We are among the top in the nation in the number of awarded Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate degrees in Computer Science. Currently, we have 59 tenured and tenure-track faculty, about 1200 undergraduate majors, and 875 graduate students.
