Topic: NC Department of Information Funding Structure

At a recent meeting of the NC House IT Committee, Secretary Jim Weaver of the NC Dept. of IT, shared his assessment that the current funding model of the Department presents a number of challenges. He invited legislators to collaborate with the Department to review/revise the funding model. NC TECH will feature Secretary Weaver, House IT Committee Chairman Jake Johnson, and others to provide an overview of the current model as well as opportunities to improve. What might the impact be on business partners? On the speed of procurement and delivery? On lines of authority? And what insights might some business partners have from their work in other states?
