Description and Requirements

Summary of Position Responsibilities:

The Associate Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer provides technical expertise for one or more of the following technologies supporting business-critical IT platforms, WebSphere Application Server, Liberty, Content Server, WebSphere Portal, FileNet, Case Manager, and Content Navigator.  Responsibilities include planning, engineering, and implementation of application platform infrastructure to include operational processes and procedures. The role will work in partnership with management and is responsible for developing and driving the strategic evolution of the supported platform technology, ensuring they are highly reliable. The role will participate in the evaluation and recommendation of new products and technologies, applying knowledge of emerging technologies for application to the enterprise. The role will also represent the domain in relevant currency, security, and automation efforts.

 

Experience and Skills Requirements: 

  • 2+ years of experience in an IT function supporting global application platforms, with basic knowledge of either Enterprise Content Management, IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), IBM Liberty, Red Hat OpenShift or other Kubernetes based hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Knowledge in Red Hat Enterprise Linux with an understanding of container platform concepts and technologies.
  • Familiarity with various scripting languages with entry-level scripting knowledge of at least one, Python preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and productive partnerships with peer customers, leadership, and partners.
  • Effective organizational and cultural skills to drive and implement major engineering efforts.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
