This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of our Data Center at 100 East Tryon Road Raleigh, NC 27603.
The IT Manager for Branch Technology is responsible for overseeing the planning, design, implementation, and ongoing management of technology solutions used in the branch footprint. This role ensures the alignment of branch Technology solutions with overall business goals, delivering reliable, secure, and efficient technology services that enhance customer experience and branch operational effectiveness. The IT Manager will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, manage vendor relationships, and lead a team to support and maintain branch-specific applications.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in delivering technical solutions that meet user needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Provides direction and oversight to IT projects and products. Assigns project tasks, drives project schedules, product releases, and conveys results or updates to the appropriate parties. Develops and utilizes methods of tracking performance.
- Elicits and refines business technology roadmaps, including setting priority and understanding cross team impacts.
- Accountable for Architecture, Design, Development for medium to large sized projects and maintenance of technology solutions.
- Makes appropriate changes to IT policies, standards, procedures, and efficiencies to meet objectives.
- Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company and department goals.
- Manages the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff.
- Supports budget forecasting, capital planning and invoicing.
- Directs programming, business analysis, or testing activities, including the determination of scope, time and cost estimates, and system impact within user requests.
- Manage critical vendor relationships and activities.
- Serves as a technical expert and strategic leader to senior management, associates, and business units.
- Participates in business meetings and special projects to provide insight on end-user needs.
- Keeps abreast of industry trends.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Applications development, applications analysis or systems engineering OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Applications development, applications analysis or systems engineering
- Strong project management skills and familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
- Proven experience in managing technology vendors and service agreements.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Must have 3+ years of people management experience.
- Experience in implementation of large-scale technical solutions, and system integration Projects.
- Experience with vendor management.
- Knowledge of Standard Development Life Cycles (like Waterfall or Agile)
- Knowledge of system and data design
Preferred skills:
- Experience leading technical teams in a formal setting, background with automation tools.
- Experience in a financial institution is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in teams associated with branch technology is strongly preferred.
