Position Description:
The Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for Kramden’s equipment donation program. This
includes scheduling pick-ups, inventory, assessment of donations, and directing surplus
technology to various streams: programs (distribution to customers) or revenue stream
(secondary sales via eBay, other refurbishers, or recyclers). The OM supervises four staff (plus
oversees volunteer shifts), plans with other managers and directors, and interfaces with external
parties, namely business and individual donors and other suppliers. A successful OM has
experience in operations and a mindset for safety, efficiency, problem-solving, and accuracy.
This position is in-person.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Principal Job Duties:
⚫ Coordinate incoming/outgoing shipments of materials.
⚫ Oversee material distribution and transport, including assisting the team with in-take of
donations and preparation of outgoing orders.
⚫ Manage volunteers during Kramden’s Wednesday Work Nights (5 pm-9 pm); assigning
tasks, helping volunteers through the refurbishing process, managing project-specific
tasks.
⚫ Manage volunteers during daytime volunteer sessions.
⚫ Direct in-warehouse recycling efforts.
⚫ Maintain clean and efficient workspace for volunteers and staff alike.
⚫ Establish a balance between programmatic devices and revenue devices.
⚫ Coordinate sales of devices through our various programs.
⚫ Maintain a healthy stock of surplus materials to satisfy sales goals.
⚫ Organize sales of recycling and low grade laptops with our recycling vendor.
⚫ Drive Kramden vehicles to and from pickups and events as needed.

Administrative:
● Motivate, support, and provide guidance to all production staff.

Position Title: Operations Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt

● Maintain accurate logs for inventory
● Coordinate organizational computer donation pick-ups
● Create/foster relationships with new corporate equipment donors
● Track incoming/outgoing shipments along with Technology Manager and Director of
Technical Operations
● Attend staff meetings and work with other members of the Production staff
● Attend/assist corporate sponsored Kramden events as needed
● Work with Director of Technical Operations to develop SOPs for each process to
improve efficiency

Required Qualities:
● Bachelor’s degree level degree or higher
● Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
● Ability to lead a team of colleagues/volunteers
● Strong work ethic
● Ability to lift 50bs regularly and repeatedly
● Flexible schedule and ability to work occasional evenings/weekends
● Familiarity with pallet jacks, docks, and truck hardware
● Must be willing to learn how to drive a box truck
● Valid NC Driver’s License
● Must pass a successful background criminal check

● A+ certification or extensive experience, skills, and familiarity with computer hardware,

Salary and Benefits:
● Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000 depending on qualifications and experience
● Bonus: Annual bonus opportunity based on performance and fiscal health of Kramden
